A quick entry from the annals of "ARGH!"
Jul. 14th, 2006 12:12 pmYou'd think that if a customer was unable to resolve a specific host for two days, and their T1 (provided by us) was proven to be functioning correctly, that they'd perhaps think to mention they have their own DNS servers on-site, let alone bother to troubleshoot that area. Furthermore, you'd think that they'd think of this in less than two days.
Holy shit, do I have a headache. Is 12:16pm too early to start drinking on a Friday?
PS. I bet their network engineer makes triple what I make. Why is it the stupid ones who make the most money?

"OK, what do you want to know?"
"What numerical settings do I need to put in to be able to connect this computer to the network here?"
"I don't know, ask your network administrator."
"I AM THE NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR. I MAKE $75,000 A YEAR. YOU WILL TELL ME WHAT I WANT TO KNOW."
"We seem to be at an impasse, sir."
