You'd think that if a customer was unable to resolve a specific host for two days, and their T1 (provided by us) was proven to be functioning correctly, that they'd perhaps think to mention they have their own DNS servers on-site, let alone bother to troubleshoot that area. Furthermore, you'd think that they'd think of this in less than two days.

Holy shit, do I have a headache. Is 12:16pm too early to start drinking on a Friday?

PS. I bet their network engineer makes triple what I make. Why is it the stupid ones who make the most money?

"But I can't find www.nonexistanthost.com! I demand that you fix this!"

Riiiight. I'll fix it after I finish my next beer.

Noon's about right. Of course, I work from home am currently wearing PJs and contemplating a brew. I'll probably wait until 3 or so, though.

I used to work graves. Would get off at 7am, head down to Gator's on the beach and start hammering them Friday morning. By noon, I'd be so plastered, it was all I could do to stumble across the street and sleep it off on the beach. College was the best 17 years of my life.

12:16 on what day? Monday wouldn't be too premature for me.

Oh, yeah, I got that call so many times while working at Dell, before being outsourced to India.

"I make $75,000 a year, and you will tell me what I want to know!"
"OK, what do you want to know?"
"What numerical settings do I need to put in to be able to connect this computer to the network here?"
"I don't know, ask your network administrator."
"I AM THE NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR. I MAKE $75,000 A YEAR. YOU WILL TELL ME WHAT I WANT TO KNOW."
"We seem to be at an impasse, sir."
