I downloaded Copilot 5.3 to my palm zire 21. I'm trying
to download the waypoints for ontrio and Quebec. Soi far I just get
error messages.
Can you help?

I must have left my "read your error messages by telepathy" device in my other pants.

We've been having 2 months' worth of network issues with one of our printers, issues that a visit from a Xerox tech last week failed to fix. So I called them back to find out exactly what said tech did to the machine. The sum total of the case notes from his visit:

"Replaced electronic module."

Thanks, dude. Now I know *exactly* what you did :P

This is ridiculous.

I've never had anything but the utmost respect for Wired as a whole (ignoring, for a minute, some of their bloggers) I subscribe to their magazine, i read some parts of their website. But this just makes me want to hate them:

"How to Traverse Corporate Firewalls"

Do these people think we block websites just to piss them off? Do they even consider the fact that we block certain sites for a reason?
Granted, some web filters are a bit overzealous, but if a needed site gets blocked, usually all it takes is a call to IT to get that site excluded from the filter.

In other news, i started training my replacement today. This guy is a rock, and has only basic knowledge of system administration. Not sure how he even got this job, with the "skills" he's shown (i had to show him how to open AD). It's going to be an interesting place, once i'm gone. Remind me to change my cell number.

Is there anything more annoying than stupidity from one's cow-orkers?

Today, one of the plebs at work complains that the printer/photocopier is saying it has a paper jam, but there's no paper jammed in the feed.

After a while, I take pity on him and wander over to look.

He points to the screen, which shows a clear picture of how to open the paper feed acess on the side of the printer.

He opens the document feeder access, which has no stuck paper

He indicates his bafflement, blaming the stupid printer for getting mixed up.

I close the document feeder, open the print feeder path access door, as shown in the nice clear picture (which admitedly, does not include a document feeer option) and point to the paper stuck in the feed path.

I make a sarcastic comment about actually looking at pictures and walk back to my desk.
