Background on Myself, the Call Center, and RJ )

The Situation )

Nearly 8 hours later, I have the following IM conversation with RJ:
The IM Conversation )

*blink* Um, what?! Unprofessional much?

I'm still not sure what opinion I have of him. He's obviously made himself and the company very successful, but everything about him screams "I need some management courses, stat!"

I've got a case assigned to me right now that is 31 days old. It's the ONLY case assigned to me, because I tend to fix things on the first contact.

This case regards a compatability issue between a product I support, and a product I've never heard of. That said, here are some givens:

1) I can't do compatability testing, because I don't have a test environment. Level 2 does that.
2) Level 2 told me 30 DAYS AGO that they'd take this case.
3) A different level 2 person refused the case, and for the last 31 days, I've literally been forwarding emails from the user to level 2, and level 2's responses back to the user. I haven't done any troubleshooting, just English to English translation.

This case is now 11 days out of SLA, which will subtract actual dollars from my personal bonus.

Yeah. YOUR PROCESS SUCKS.

This luser wannabe thinks he's a sysadmin because he's heard of tcpdump. *snicker*

Right. That's why you had to have the office manager ask the local techie to help you. Because the network didn't seem to be assigning automatic addresses. Go back to reading the script to your peers on the phone monkey fart.

Right, so I had this lady call in today? The limit on outgoing attactments in email is 2MB, and Charlie, one of the other techs, had JUST SPENT about 20 minutes explaining this to her because her file was just over the limit. And so she calls back, gets me and asks 'if I split the file in two and attached them to the email, would it go through?" - hoping that since the FILES were under 2MB, it'd go. -_-;
