WindowsXL constantly crashes with follow-up message - "System has recovered from a serious error". On my checking further, told by Microsoft that "Error caused by a device driver". Although new Brother MFC-210C printer installed in June, it seems most likely that driver which came with Broad Band installed in Jan.2005 is cause. Comments PLEASE.

huh. weird.

This is me. This is me working a 10 hour shift. This is me working a 10 hour shift while I've a cold that makes my nose want to fall off. This is me doing all that when I just really want to pack so I can move to my new apartment.

So yeah... basically I was rude, nasty, impatient, incomplete, and downright annoying. I had 5 people request my supervisor... because I was so patient/competent/helpful. WTF. I should have bad days more often... it could lead to a raise.

But seriously... if you have no lights on your modem... wouldn't you check that it's power cord is at least connected to either the wall or the modem, if not both? dude.

Another past call...

HIM: I need my voicemail password reset.

ME: OK, can I have your employee number, please?

HIM: How would I know what that is?

ME: (thinking:) By not being a total and complete moron?

(more talking)

ME: (finishing ticket) Are there any other phone numbers you can be reached at?

HIM: I don't understand the question.

ME: ?

So recently a guy was talking to me about an updating issue, and we were disconnected.
It's my center's policy for frontline agents not to make outbound calls, instead, we pass it on for a manager to check up on.
I got disconnected from a guy that emailed back and said basically "excuse me, we were disconnected and you haven't called back yet, can you?"

I gave him my response that unfortunately, I can't call back, but I can set him up for a callback tomorrow if he wants that. He responds and says "that's what they did and you hung up on me".

Seeing as I was busy with another call, I ignored this for the moment.

When I finished the call, I went to lunch. When I came back from lunch, I had 58 new email messages from this guy.

He literally spammed me, because that's very obviously the way to get a technician's attention.

My only question to my manager was, should I reply to every one of his 58 email messages with a standard letter? After all, it'd be rude to not respond at all...
