It's funny that people want others to be responsible for their stupidity. Had a woman who called up today couldn't get on-line for the last five days. Pull up the cable modem and notice it has been on-line for well over five days and it solid as a rock, But it is reporting there is no device connected to it at all. Surprise, surprise, she has a router. Power cycled it and shockingly she was on-line. She complained that this happened before, gave her instructions how to power cycle her router all by her lonesome.
Then she had the audacity to say she wanted a refund for the time she was off-line. I explained to her that it wasn't a cable modem issues and it was her router that was dropping the connection. But she bitched and moaned how she was off-line for five days. of course, she could have called five days ago and we could have resolved this issues in seconds. So, whatever, I referred her to her local office, they handle billing anyways. She can call them, sit on hold for a bit and they will pull up her cable modem stats and laugh at her.
