Generic Host Process for win32 services has encountered a problem

I am not *really* asking for an answer to this issue, but if you have one
that would be a bonus. I'm just wondering if this is just a coincidence or
there is something bigger going on. Our callcenter (only gets about 600ish
calls a day) has gotten a dozen of these errors today. Is there a virus
or bad update or something I'm missing?

I was able to walk one user through getting some details, but they
were pretty much useless.

yes, the szAppName was blank.

there is a worm propogating to take advantage of MS06-040 (Powerpoint vulnerability). It could just be a badly written worm (imagine that, shoddy work from a virus author... what is the world coming to?!!?)

It's a shittacular windows problem, I've helped it twice so far today, lemme find the link for the update to fix it.

I started getting that on my home machine a week or so ago, right after I ran Windows Update. I think one of the updates broke something.

I ended up doing a system restore.
