Have system on bench. Had hard drive with click-of-death and diagnostics-flunking. Swapped old refurb Maxtor drive for shiny new drive. Installed 98SE clean. Reinstalled all the drivers. Life is good...until I try to reinstall AOL 8.

Setup starts, and the box reboots.

Every. Single. Time.

It's fine until I try to throw AOL on. It likes Norton. It likes the other shit I'm having to reinstall. It does not. Like. AOL.

Not that I blame it, but this guy wants his AOL, and I'm at my wit's end with this box.

[UPDATE: The power supply. The fraggin' power supply. *slap forehead*]

What OS? Any driver problems on reinstall? Also have you tried another AOL CD?

simple stuff, but sometimes we all overlook stuff.
