Remembering...
Aug. 28th, 2003 09:14 pmJust reading back through old entries on here and it made me think of a call I had a while back.
A customer had just bought a new PC with Windows XP.
Calling up to setup his internet connection.
Me : "Ok, so I'll just get you to click on Start, then go to Control Panel for me please."
Cust : "Uh... ok... [long pause] uh... um..."
Me : "... So yeah, if you could just click on Start then Control panel. Have you done that yet?"
Cust : "Uh... um... yeah mate... uh... yeah sorry, I'm not used to this hey, it's all new to me..."
It's all new to him?
What's new?
Reading?
The english language is new and difficult?
In the meantime, we're currently trying to run a call centre where our calls keep dropping out randomly... sometimes 5 secs into the call.
It's been an interesting night.
