Was just on a call, fixing some guys OE.
Ever noticed how they never read the POP & SMTP servers properly?
Me : What does it say next to incoming mail?
Cust : popispnamecomau
Me : So there's no dots there?
Cust : Oh.. uh.. yeah... it's pop.ispname.com.au
[guy next to me is listening in]
Me : Ok, I always need you to read those how they appear, because the dots are the most important thing on the internet...
The guy sitting next to me just cracks up and has to put his moron on hold.
Sometimes I love this job.

Date: 2003-08-24 09:20 pm (UTC)The melnorme came from a screenshot of one captured at http://www.star-control.com (http://www.star-control.com) , the primiere Star Control fansite on the web.
However even though I did take somebody else's image, since the game is now freeware and available along with source code at http://sc2.sourceforge.net (http://sc2.sourceforge.net), I didn't have to, I could have taken my own easily.
Well is that enough plugging for you? ;)
The Melnorme I have seems to have lost some weight during the photoshopping. And he also lost his background. And went through several steps in said photoshop.
