My tech's complaint:
"Can you walk me through this setup? They throw us out here with no training on it." (Note: this has been edited for punctuation, capitalization, spelling, and grammar.)

The statement giving my highly qualified tech AND her customer so much trouble:
"Are you a:
[ ] New DSL customer?
[ ] Existing DSL customer?
or
[ ] Dialup customer and want to keep your existing email and password?"

My perfect response:

"Yes. They didn't train you on that because they assumed you had intelligence and cognitive abilities greater than that of a retarded rhesus monkey."

Alas. I still like my job.

No wonder, she's supporting our AOL portal.

That's like this one ticket I wrote for a local tech to install Flash player on a user's computer. He kicked the ticket back (which looks bad for MY stats, because the system makes it look like I should not have written the ticket in the first place). I finally get ahold of the idiot, who's altered his phone number in Remedy so he normally can't be called. I ask him why he kicked the ticket back.

"Because I don't know how to install Flash player!" he said, in a tone that managed to convey that not only should I have known that, but I was also a mental midget of the lowest order for thinking he should know how to do that.

One of my other user icons is my kitty. Kitties is cute. ... when they are asleep, and not PUKING ON YOUR BED, but that is another story altogether ;)

(As an aside - what is it with IT people and cats? Most techies I know are owned by at least one feline....)
