Hi, for those of you who don't know me, I'm not some newbie who joined the wrong community, I've been here for a while but my tech-supporting-all-day ass needs some goddamn tech support of my own.

But I had a quick question. For more "advanced" Windows support questions that can't be answered by communities such as computerhelp, is there another place where one might find advice on LJ? I think the userinfo of our fair community admonishes actually asking for help here, so I'm asking you guys where you get help instead of asking you guys for help...

...if that makes sense.

Valiskeogh is right, that's my usual source when I'm stumped.

However, with that said - we don't support ordinary users who just walk in with a question that a good google won't resolve, this is well known and well documented.

You're one of our own. We recognize you as such. Hell, I knew you were a regular in here when I saw the name. You can ask a question and expect an answer as opposed to a sound drubbing and advice on how best to eliminate yourself from the gene pool. ^_^

this just reminded me of a problem I'VE been having that google, ms, and everything else i've looked at just can't solve...

i wonder if we can make up some "tech support stumbler" questions...
