hi, tech support rep from not too sunny SoCal CA. Have been in the game now barely two years, and I don't know what possessed me to do this type of work.

At present, I'm working for a major wi-fi appliance company as their level 1.5 (lol...kinda a level two, but with poor attendance habits) and we encounter some...doozies.

I will share more later, but hey, tis my day off and I don't want to think too much on knowing I'll be back there tomorrow.

I imagine it's the same thing that drives most of us, besides the pittance they call a paycheck.

Personally? I'm in it for the challance of seeing the various ways my users can tank a machine. Although frankly the past few weeks havce been met with full on boredom, and that is not good.

I get the CCNAs who pull out the measuring tape to show me how s-m-r-t they are coz they have these "purty letters after their name!" Cripes...then, there's the engineers who think that by boggling my mind with BS abt firmware and RF antennas being able to transmit more bandwidth....

WHY WOULD I CARE?! I'm not the developer.

But the bonus prize:

Goober who thinks his "rooter" is his modem and when you ask them to unplug the router, they ask back "ya meen the Motorola or the ___?" NO, fuckwit...the product that WE support!

Crap man...I was supposed to be relaxing on my dayoff!!! WTG!
