Here's the scenario.
User running Office 97 (why!) and W2K pro. When she tries to print word docs that were attachments out of email (netscape mail), it locks up and she can't print. When you reboot it works fine for 1 or 2 times, then it starts locking up again.

I would say we need to upgrade her to office 2k except she's getting a new PC in a month so I know they won't go for that.

Any suggestions on how to help her?

I would actually recommend Office XP. And unless the new PC comes with Office they can just transition the license.

could be as simple as the printer spool running out of resources/memory. I've had quite a few experiences where the spool craps out.

As for Office 97... I prefer it to office 2000. Haven't had to deal with XP enough to comment. Although now, on my own, I'm using EasyOffice2001.

there is the whole make sure she is as up to date as office 97 will let her be, (i think they have 2 service packs for DL from the microsoft site that you dont have to pay for.. wow)

but to me it sounds like her printers are running into something, i am assumeing you have killed and reinstalled the printers, and if the latest and greatest drivers are having trouble see if you can move a gen back and see fi they work.

unless she knows she is getting office on the new puter she can move the lic from one to the other easliy enough.
