Date: 2003-05-04 06:39 pm (UTC)And before calling tech support:
1) Power cycle the modem (and router if you have one) be unplugging and leaving out the power cable and pressing the power button to off for at least 30 seconds.
2) Disconnect any routers/hubs.
3) Skip using the god aweful Connection Manager, because all it really does it use Enternet300 or your XP's connection software anyway. For XP, go to Start, Control Panel, Network and Internet Connections, Network Connections and you should see a Broadband Catagory. Connect using that if Connection Manager gives you a TCP/IP error. For Windows2000 and below, Start, Programs, Effiecent Networks, Enternet300, Enternet300. Run the profile from there and make a new one if it doesn't work.
All else fails, give us a call. We're 24/7 and if you call in the wee hours of the night, maybe you'll get me. Our service seems to work fine for a small amount of people, but most seem to have quite a bit of problems, so careful.
Also, we cannot help with anything except: not being able to login or browse, slow browse, email problems with your @sbcglobal.net account, and a handful of smaller questions related directly to your connection. We cannot help with computer problems or with Yahoo.com, including the Messenger.
