If any of you are from Northern California, this is not meant towards you because obviously you are smart enough to navigate to this site and read the technical jargon written here.

I have come to the conclusion that most of the stupid people have moved to either Northern California or Arkansas. It's obvious about Arkansas, but today was my epiphany about Northern CA. We had a fiber cut or something that caused a bunch of our numbers to go out in Northern CA. When I tell these people who call in (who BTW, have been listening to a recording for a while stating that there are several numbers out of service in Northern CA) they are shocked that their number is down. When I give them an alternate number, you would have thought I asked them to trade their first born child for a roudy adopted child or something. They ask, "Do I have to change it?" *sarcasm inserted from this point* "No, you can stay on a number that isn't working right now and continue to complain because you can't connect." *end sarcasm* Then when I tell them they can switch back to their original number tomorrow if they like and see if it's back up and running, they reply with, "Oh, that number will still be around? You're not getting rid of it?" *sarcasm inserted from this point* "No, whenever we have a problem with a number, we throw it away and buy all new numbers in that area. WHAT DO YOU THINK MORON!?" *end sarcasm*

sounds familiar

When i was on the DHL Connect software support if the web server went down:
A) we would have to call the on site techs and TELL THEM the server was down
and
B) put out a global message with the exact words: We do not know the length of the outage.

And yet you get hundreds of ignant mafckers calling in asking:
Dumbass: I cant ship.
9:Yes the servers are down. There should have been a message on before you got to me.
Dumbass: Oh I never listen to those.

or

Dumbass: I heard the message. When will the servers be back up.
9: We do not know. We do not work on them.
Dumbass: So you dont know when they will be back up?
