I have a Lexmark inkjet printer (a Z32 to be exact) and it won't print any red ink. It says the ink cartridges are full. I ran some cleaning sheets. Still no red. Their website sucks for tech support and who knows if I'll ever get an email back from them. Anyone have any ideas what the deal is with this?

Just because the software says the ink is full doesn't mean the ink is full. With (the lexmark anyways) that software, it estimates how much ink you are using by how many times you print in color or black and white and when you switch out cartrages wether you select new cartridge or used cartridge. That software has no Idea as to how much ink you have actually used.

Try replacing the cartridge first. If that doesn't solve your problem, buy a new printer.

If you end up spending more than, like, half an hour worrying about it, just buy a new one.

It's more expensive to replace both ink cartridges than it is to just buy a new printer.
Sick, eh?

There's a good possibility its the print head assembly being clogged. I'd suggest some research on Lexmark's website to see if (a) The print heads are built in on the carts, and (b) If not, how to clean them.

Good luck,
