Does anyone else find customers that giggle when they have totally borked their computers or applications really offensive? Or is it just too early in the morning?

I get that crap all the time. I have this one client who giggles after every statement and it makes me want to hang her from a bridge and cut her tongue out to burn it.

Um it is probably both.

*giggle* Oops did I break it?

And I imagine a big anvil in the sky coming through the celing to their desk and smooshing them really hard.

But since it is tuesday, try for another cup of coffee.

Yes. I get that too. But my favorites are the ones that keep repeating that they are so dumb with computers. Sometimes I want to respond, "Yes, yes you are." ;)

I just want to ask them when they go to a mechanic, "Do you also say, 'I'm stupid when it comes to cars.'?" It just strikes me as odd when they wear that comment like a badge of honor. Like they should be thrilled that they're morons. Of course, they also tend to giggle after saying it. Gah.

I really think that the first person who comes up with a way to have a large iron-cored Nerf hammer pop out of the top of the monitor and bonk the ever-living crap out of the stupid user the moment a user error is detected/uttered will be a very rich person, indeed.

*hee hee* I'm stupid when it comes to computers. *tee hee* Was I not supposed to delete the Windows directo...eeeeeeeeeeeeee! *thrum, ploink, SMASH SMASH SPURT SMASH SPLAT!*

Heh.

I always wanted a remote-control app that zaps them every time they touch the keyboard. During a helpdesk call, it could be turned on and off as needed: "Now, just read to me what it says on the screen." BZZZT! "Ouch!" "Hmmm, now I did say READ, not TYPE. Let's try it again..."
