family tech support

Well, as one of the resident tech minds in the house, I am often called upon for technical issues. Most issues though, my Dad can handle as he used to be a tech support agent himself. Which makes this even better.
Now my Dad was using canned air to dust out my younger brothers computer. When he happened to find a spare jumper lying on the ground nearby. Assuming it came from the computer, he did not try to check the motherboard manual to see what went where as far as jumpers go. He just stuck it "somewhere".
He was also very surprised to find out that the computer will now no longer function.
My brother also tells me that there was smoke. And as I am fond of telling people who don't know anything about computers "the smoke is what makes the computer work, and once you let it out, you cant put it back in"
