Woohoo my first entry. I'm celebrating.
A little background: I'm a "Field Service Engineer" for a Real Estate company. I cover three offices that I divide my time between in Northern California. Some days, I feel like a doctor in a mental hospital making his rounds and doling out medication. It's pretty much what I do, I go to an office, wander around for a few hours, and make sure noone's having any problems. Every day I get things like "X Website is too slow, fix it. Fix it now or I'm going to lose millions of dollars in business. For the love of GOD, how come it's not going fast yet?"
Here's a taste of what I get via e-mail:

Subject: CD BURNING...
Tech Guy,
I have 3 powerpoint files that i need burned onto a cd. Is there a cd burner in the office and if so, will you be in (my office) tomorrow to help me thru the process?
Luser
A relatively benign question, right? She doesn't know if our computers come with CD burners (they don't) because she needs to burn some files. I'm already at home by now, but such an innocent questions deserves a straightforward answer from the comfort of my phone.

Hi Luser,
I am not aware of any cd burners in the office. You may want to check with agents who have laptops, they may have a cd burner built-in.
-ME
And they know how to use it. I should have added. I figured this was a straightforward enough answer. I really should have expected the next e-mail but I guess I'm not jaded enough to revoke the benefit of the doubt yet. When I get up the next morning to check my e-mail I see this first.

Can my desktop copy a file from my harddrive to a cd?
Luser
I guess I should tell her that it would be possible but it requires a blood sacrifice.
