For the last time people!...

- html and hotmail are not the same things!

- whistling songs to the girl with a headset on will make her stop listening to you since said headset will be on her desk and her ears will be bleeding.

- birds should not be kept in the same room as your computer. Especially birds like budgies, cockatiels and parrots that will scream high piercing notes. Again. Headset meet desk.

- just because you know the word 'powercycle' doesn't mean you did it right.

- we are an isp. we didn't invent windows. blame Gates for that. I will not fix your copy of office for you.

- don't whinge that it's a business you use our service for when you only pay for recreational service.

- while porn has it's place, please don't get so desperate that you tell the csr's why you NEED to get online.

- on that note: if you call in to find out how to clear history, we will giggle madly behind our mute buttons.

- yelling that something is unacceptable won't make the impossible come true.

coworkers can be amusing

A friend of mine at work last night was telling me how he'd had to call in to the local hsi provider to get a signal strength thing fixed. The tech set up a truck roll but it was something like 3 weeks out. My friend (who works tech support for another provider with me) thought he'd try one out on the tech...

"Well this is totally unacceptable! How can you call this customer service blah blah blah blah blah....." and yes... actually said the blahs.

The tech listened to this for a while and finally breaks down and starts laughing

"Sir? I can understand the frustration but why all the blahs?"

"Well... I work tech support... that's usually how far the customers get before I tune out. So I'm not sure how the rest of the speech is supposed to go."

So... both had a good laugh. A call was put in to a supervisor. The truck roll happens on Monday. I so want to do that now. *L*
