so far I have...

Alt+Enter brings up properties for selected object
Control+escape brings up start menu

Win+D brings up the desktop
win+R brings up the run dialogue
Win+E is explorer
Win+M minimizes everything possible
Win+U is the utility manager for disabled people stuff
Win+F is windows find
Win+L locks the computer

Anyone else have any others?

well... that was 48 minutes of stupid.....

yes, you should read the terms and conditions for any service you give your credit card number to and/or of any program you download.

*sigh*

on a different note, without going into product details, I found fraud on a customer account caused by a hacker criminal and I locked out the account. Said criminal racked up about $1000 in charges. Said criminal also speaks with a heavy, heavy, heavy Arabian/Middle Eastern accent, while the customer's name is something to the affect of "John Smith".

Said criminal actually called us claiming to be "John Smith" and was trying to get the account unlocked. Since there is absolutley nothing in our policies that stat I have to be polite to a criminal, I decided to have a bit of fun.

After leading them on as if I was actually assisting them, I got him to admit to the fraudelent activity. I then thanked him for his cooperation and confirmation, we are sending our data to the proper authorities and will be continuing our fraud investigation.

Reading the post about salesmen who don't listen reminded me of a call I got the other day, that reaaally annoyed me.

Me: Good morning Blah Servicedesk, Bekki Speaking
idiot: Hi, can I please speak to a technician who can help me with a computer problem
Me: Yeeees, you've rung the servicedesk, that's what we're here for, how can I help you?

Turns out, the guy was using the wrong username *rolls eyes*

I dunno if I'm over sensitive because I'm the only female on our desk (aside from our team leader, but she doesn't take calls), but it always gets on my nerves when people assume I can't help them. Sure, I don't know everything, but at least let me trouble shoot with you first.

User: I can't log in to my computer.
Me: Okay, are you getting an error?
User: Pardon?
Me: When you try to log in, do you get an error message?
User: I... I don't know what you're asking me.
Me: What does it do when you try to log in?
User: I have no idea.

O.o
