This question goes to the webmasters out there. There is a domain I want that expired yesterday.

What is the ethical period of time I sould wait before snatching up the domain?

I want to buy it right now, but the good guy in me tells me to wait.

[livejournal.com profile] c0c0c0 posted here about snatching up a domain name that's expired just before and he prompted me to check into a domain I've been wanting for years (My first and last name. I've had my first name, middle initial, and last name for a few years now instead since this was already taken)

This is weird. According to http://www.internic.com/whois.html when I search domain this is still registered. If I search registrar or nameserver it appears however that it's not registered.

Obviously I want to snatch this domain up if I can. Is there any way to tell for sure if it's expired and how long it would be until I'm able to grab it?

I guess there are also services that will sit there and wait to snatch up a domain name if you put your name down. Anyone know which comapnies they are? I've checked a few but they don't seem to offer it anymore. Probably easier to ask those in the know. :-)
