I went to an interview yesterday for a graphic design company. All state of the art equipment, beutifull building, young crowd, power biz types.. all very impressive.

Till they took me out to lunch, I was trying to talk to the creative director and techie gurue (who does everything from whipping out code for customers to drafting new building designs when they move..) Anyway, I pretty much listened politly as the two chatted about work, and generally ignored me, except when I butted in every once and a while to try to get them to talk about what they wanted me for.. Wich pretty much got a shrug since they didn't know what they where looking for, and the techie guy hand't even bothered to look at my resume before the interview. Oh well, at least I got a tour of a pretty cool company, and a free lunch.

Ok this time my problem isnt with the customer ( employees ) but rather the techs and the company itself.

A) The company decides on a whim to switch over to sysco this past weekend.
 1. They only informed half the employees
 2. They did a half ass job of installing it.

B) Most of the onsite techs are really cool. But there are two ( lets call them D and K ) are smart asses.
 1. D never thinks we do enough troubleshooting before we refer something over. We have to proxy into the users computer on two different machines, have our supervisor proxy in, slit our wrists and drain 3/4 of our blood while beseaching the computer gods for an answer before she is satisifed.
  a. This sorry fcker also likes to leave smart ass comments in the tickets she resolves and gets an atitude if you dont sugar coat everything.
 2. K is never wrong. This weasly mfkcr will go in and change something when youve told him its wrong and then tell you it isnt.

So if you read the last post I had on here and now find it missing.....it's because I thought it sucked so I decided to put something different up.

My last call is a woman who is having some sort of problem when she tries to connect. She clicks on Internet Explorer to connect. Here are my notes about the call:

- when opening up her browser something is happening
- asked what was happening
- she doesn't remember, but she is going to walk through what she does to tell me
- it's working fine now though
- she is going to try it again to make it do the thing it was doing
- it's working just fine now
- she just won't let me go because she wants me to see what "it" is
- it's not doing anything wrong
- grrrrrr
- she keeps asking me why it wasn't working before

(well, lady.....I don't know because I wasn't there and it's working fine now)
- I told her I would have to know what sort of errors and problems she was having
- she doesn't know
- she rebooted and wants to try it again
- fine, told her if it works just fine, then I will have to let her go because there is nothing I can do for a computer that is working
- tried to connect
- everything is STILL working fine
- she hung up
