Subject: loose, limp whammy bar

Fresh out of the box, the guitar controller has a very loose whammy bar, which dangles straight down and will not stay in position, making playing the game more difficult, and frustrating.

I've played various Guitar Hero titles using other controllers on many platforms, and none of them are like this - they all have whammy bars that have a nice, stiff feel and stay where you leave it.

I believe that the controller that came with my game must be defective, and would like to replace it under warranty.

hahaha. I wonder if the guy who had to respond to my query gets a lot of messages like these...

That's... well just be glad you didn't call them on the phone with that.

"My bar is limp! I need a stiff whammy bar or else I can't play!"

Since it's new, get it replaced under warranty.
For old guitars, it's not that hard to fix the whammy bar, it's usually just the spring comes loose inside. If it isn't the spring, but the little plastic hook breaking, then you have to get some epoxy.

My own experience with Guitar Hero warranty replacement (from drums breaking within 1st 3 days) is they'll tell you they'll replace it IF you pay to mail them the defective equipment AND include a prepaid shipping ticket to send a new one back to you.
