May. 8th, 2007 02:15 pmI've been answering the phones at the helpdesk for a small ISP for 4 years, and I just got the first call where I really had to ask "is your computer even turned on?"
I think I thought you were all joking when you tell these types of stories..
It got worse- she thought the monitor was the computer, she thought the computer was the DVD player, at one point I think she turned on her television.. it was bad. I ended up suggesting that maybe she have her son come take a look at it. Fortunately, if I can ping the router that's as far as I really have to support :]
On a side note, what's with having some some swag dropped off after a meeting, and everyone in the office srambling for it like it's gold? I've never seen adults fight over cheap ballpoint pens and bouncy balls like the clowns I work with.
