How many of you were drinkers BEFORE you started supporting LU$ERS?

How many of you hoist 5 too many a pint more than you had been drinking BEFORE you started supporting LU$ERS?

How many of you drink to numb the incessant banality of LU$ER idiocy?

How many of you would like to crack an empty can/bottle/keg over an incompetent cowerker?

now if you'll eksqueeze me....beer awaits.

For the brave bretheren who have fallen in the name of teh LU$ER

Do you want to know how much?
I'm gonna tell you how much.
I brew my *own* beer now.
That's how much I need a cold one when I come home.

I drink and smoke (cigs and herb) MUCH MUCH more than I did prior to my foray in to the tech field.

I scream a lot more too ;)

Beer? Bah.

Although I do have a flask of rum with me almost all the time.

And I've also broken about seven mice by the power of compression alone.

RIght now I spend my weekends returning blood to my caffine-stream, and the week reversing it. :)

Although at the end of this week, I'm going shooting, and drinking after I get home. :)

thoughts from the front line.

Not me.

A) not paid well enough

B) If something broke due to Luser issues, I wasn't ever high up enough to be responsible for it.

Yeh, I drank more beer, more caffine, and I swore more. Became a much more angry person.

Now that I have left, I don't swear, I am not so angry and I use less Caffine. But I drink even more!

beer, no. alcohol, no. I'm moderately allergic. I can only tolerate alcohol in extremely small doses. Said doses are not conducive to killing the pain. Alcohol is also not compatible with many medicines for asthma & bipolar syndrome.

OTOH -

Coca-Cola, yes. Chocolate, yes.

*G*

That's why I said - Coca-Cola yes & chocolate yes.

The extra calories PLUS being trapped at a desk for 9+ hours is why I'm somewhat overweight. Whic is another stress-factor you might consider - How many people are heavier now (due to stress induced eating) than they were before they started working in tech support?

I KNOW I am. I KNOW my husband was. (He got out of one situation & dropped HALF his weight. Literally. I wish I could. *sigh*)

Readily available carbonated drinks at work (there was a fridge of cheap stuff that management refreshed and made a profit on; profit went to the Christmas party beer fund) were the largest part of why I gained about forty pounds in tech support.

As a project once, I determined a diet and (mild) exercise regime that would maximise fat reduction (for me, anyway) while avoiding problems like heart attacks and having to eat really disgusting (yet healthy) items. I topped out at about two pounds fat loss per week, and could probably have gone more if I'd pushed the exercise up to moderate levels.

Of course, once I'd determined the answer to the original question, I went back to a diet of junk and gained it all back :/

(Might be an idea to resurrect it for a couple of months now I'm out of that job.)
