Yup, an odd request ;)

The situation is that I am testing out a version of OpenOffice.org provided by a ... prominent north American supplier of networking operating systems who also own a prominent German supplier of Linux. Said prominent supplier is allowing me to test out their (not publically released) version of OOo because of... well, stuff. Irrelevant stuff. Soooper Seekrit stuff... yanno. I bribed 'em, OK? ;)

ANYwho... they reckon that the improvements they have made to OOo allow OOo to open pretty much any of the "standard" weird Excel spreadsheets so beloved of accounting departments. I would like to be able to prove them right, but I have no access to such things any more (hoorah!).

Sooo.... over to you guys. If anyone has one of those weird Excel spreadsheets, obviously without any confidential, private, or otherwise sooper seekrit info, and are willing to send me a copy via my LJ email address, I will test them out and report back here later with results.

Anyone?

Alas, I no longer have access to oddball stuff like that.

And I'm not sure about the finace department here, either.

This is a link to a zipped D&D character generation spreadsheet that's... shall we say... rather complex. Enjoy.
