I have decided that it is a new psychological imperative to own a T-shirt which reads:

"I am NOT 'tech-savvy.' I am a motherfucking TECH SUPPORT NINJA."

Seriously, does that phrase annoy the hell out of the rest of you like it does me?

Almost as much as "_______ guru."

Both these phrases should go the way of "The Information Superhighway."

The whole "computer guru" thing has always annoyed me.

Even moreso because I spent a good many years using an Amiga, so a "guru" was always a bad thing.

Well, the bottom line, at the end of the day is that . . .

. . . i'm sorry, i can't even say those things. I have to go wash my eyes now.

"All I know is..."

Usually completed with "...I'm not getting what I paid for."

And you never will! Because I can't fix it unless you tell me SOMETHING about the goddamn problem!

I'd buy one, though preferably without the swearing so I could wear it to work. :)
I've rather liked the term tekgod too. Used that for a time with my AIM handle before they blocked it from here at work.

seems fine by me. Of course, my team in the callcenter is named "Platypus Ninja" or something equally unfortuante.

I like "Tech Support Ninja". That calls for a Fark-style Photochop contest!

A claymore mine on the front with "Front toward Enemy".

or "I've got an EMP bomb hidden in the building, don't tempt me"

I don't like "tech-savvy," because people who don't know computers use it to describe people who do... to make themselves feel better. Because if you are a luser and you say someone is "tech-savvy," you can still feel awesome, because you obviously know more about EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD or else you wouldn't have the kewl job you do and the ability to boss around the IT people.

"Tech savvy" is better than "computer literate".

I'm going to make myself a t-shirt that says "I am NOT 'computer literate.' I am a TECH SUPPORT NINJA", and attach a silouette of a ninja and a computer on the back. And wear it at my tech-support job next term.

I bought some blank t-shirts for this exact reason - without the phrase to steam on. Thanks for the inspiration!
