Sep. 7th, 2003 02:54 pmI work for a DSL ISP, and just had a customer who got completely "outraged" (his words, not mine) that we cut him off after sending "ONLY 500 emails" (His words, his emphasis).
There's a word for sending that many emails out from a consumer account.
It's called spam.
If you want to run a bloody mailing list, get a listserv or a business account. Otherwise, don't complain.

Date: 2003-09-07 06:18 pm (UTC)This works especially well with dialup customers. I don't think they get the whole point of how many there are and how little they mean to the rest of the company (in comparison to DSL, T1, etc. customers).
Whatever, cancel your account. It doesn't matter. Nobody reads your email anyhow.
Customers suck.
