So i get this call, from a man who doesn't speak english quite clearly or well enough for me to really understand much.

HuH? <~him
Me: <~ der

Me: Thanks for calling blahblaha how may i help you
HuH? new modem.........
Me: ummm.... You bought a new modem?
HuH? yes new modem you want phone #
Me: Okay go ahead
HuH? numbernumber verify address blahblah
Me: Okay on the back of your modem will be a sticker with a MAC ID # on it.
HuH? hold on. mumblemumblemumble there 20 stickers
Me: No, there should be ONE sticker, with an HFC or Cable MAC ID
HuH? o uh........ reads off 20 digit #
Me: No sir, it starts with 00, is 12 numbers and letters long
HuH? reads off 20 digit # again.

this continues for about 5 minutes with him reading diff numbers off none which match or are what i need.

Me: Sir are you SURE this is your INTERNET CABLE MODEM
HuH? ::put's his less english speaking wife on the phone:: MODEM MODEM MODEM!!!#! NUMBERNUMBERNUMBer ::reads off 20 digit # again:: MOTOROLA!!!!!!
Me: ::looks at account:: not a motorola modem assigned to this person

Me ::::::::SIGHHHHHH:::::::::......Where did you GET this modem
HuH? BLAHBLAHCOMPANYNAME repeated 3 times..........RICHMOND!!!##**%$
Me: So you got it from our local office??
HuH? yessssssss (random language i cant understand)
Me: And you're sure this is a INTERNET CABLE MODEM RIGHT???????? NOT for your TV RIIIIGHHTT???? (repeated 3 times as well)
HuH?............................................... ohhhhhh no dis for tv
Me: ::HEADDESK::FLAILING ARMS AROUND::COWORKERS LOOKING AT ME FUNNY::
let me transfer you to cable tv. ...........
HuH? ohhhhhhh ha ha ha ha okkkaaaaaay

Me: ::: i'm taking my break early::: you just wasted 12 minutes of my call time cuz you cant push 1 for cable or 2 for internet

Why would you move to a new country and not learn the language? I even have the respect not to even VISIT a country where my knowledge of the language is gibberish at best.
