Date: 2006-07-28 07:59 pm (UTC)My suggestion was to strip all the HTTP headers out of the outbound requests, send them into a haiku generator, and then pipe the output to Google's "I'm Feeling Lucky" script.

Date: 2006-07-28 11:10 pm (UTC)I had a list of alternate behaviours I would have liked to see implemented, either being selected randomly or able to be chosen by the owner of the connection. These included random salting of Goatse and Tubgirl (at certain percentages of all image requests), random salting of porn if this was likely to cause trouble, psuedo-random redirections, "jams" where the same page loaded over and over, bandwidth limiting based on a number of factors including request frequency, keywords and time of day etc, fake error messages, access blackouts, semi-random image modifications as per the original page (as well as other modifications), text keyword replacement and/or partial random language translation, and a range of other mischevious effects.

Date: 2006-07-28 11:21 pm (UTC)Out here. I'm not quite sure if anyone can use my access point, as it's locked down as far as a 6 year old AP running the latest firmware will allow. (SSID broadcast turned off, WEP 128 bit)
I've a half mind to go into the DHCP server and set up it up so that it hands out based on a MAC address database. This would make it pretty damn difficult to steal my bandwidth, although a static IP will still fool it.
