FOR FUCKS SAKE! I've just had the third repair this week where there's absolutely nothing wrong with it! Two computers yesterday, a printer today. All brought back to me by the same person, who is now in no doubt about performing basic troubleshooting before he dumps work on me. He then had the cheek to say to me "are you sure?" when I said this printer was working. No, you fucking idiot, I said it to wind you up! Of course I don't know what I'm doing!

They've done stuff like that to me where it turned out they were just idiots on diagnosis that it's not funny.

I now believe that it's SOMETHING, just most likely not what they think. (Like, this is a bad driver install on a computer, or they're plugging it into an outlet that's switched or something like that.

In this case, refeeding the paper would've solved it, and the two pcs just needed reboots. Grrrr.
