It sounds like the Latin name of a dinosaur.

In actual fact it's the name of a training module that our reps have to take on the shiny new broken training website that went undead today. It was supposed to have gone live but... it doesn't seem to want to act very alive. Spitting out Pedagogue critical errors all over the place.

I was just wishing I could take a ton more calls than normal heavy-volume nights tonight, too.

Anklyosing Spondylitis is also the name of a particularly nasty autoimmune disease that causes the immune system to attack the vertebrae and fuse them together. I *think* it's considered a variant of RA, but I'm not sure.

Yeah. Our reps are pharmaceutical marketers and are taking the module in order to push a particular drug used to combat that medical condition. Hence the name.

I just figured that with a name that long and convoluted, no doubt repeated a great many times throughout the training, the server was probaby out of bandwidth.

Yes, it is considered part of the Rhuematoid Arthritis family of Autoimmune diseases that also includes Lupus.

I wasn't aware of all that, having never heard of AS until the other day, but I'm sure as hell familiar with lupus. I cannot convey enough condolences for anyone suffering lupus or any related ailment.
