So I have to wipe this old Blackberry 7230 clean for an exec and there's all this crazy info about entering the wrong password 10 times doing the trick, etc.

I just suggested to my manager that I use the mini baseball bat that I keep on my desk (which I have inscribed with the label "Percussive Maintenance Instrument") to insure that there will be no recoverable data from the device since we will not be reusing it.

She said, if this exec is in the right mood, he may just go for it.

Wish me luck!

yes, wrong password 10 times will work. I've done it.

or you can just plug it into a computer with BB desktop manager installed and wipe it.
That works too.

I have a broken one here, someone sat on it.
Perhaps I'll take a brick to it some weekend to let out agression. +D

"Percussive Maintenance Instrument"

Is that like the "Customer Appreciation Bat" that used to reside under the counter at a gas staion where my wife used to work?

LART is still my acronym of choice.
Very succinct: Luser Attitude Realignment/Readjustment Tool

Right now, mine is a pair of these 18" long security-hex head tools that Peerless ships with their plasma TV wall mount kits. Not quite a set of tonfa, but they'll still leave a good impression ;)

POST PICTURES PLZ.

Failing that, ship it to me and I'll use it as a target at the next range day. ::cackle:: I wonder what 7.62x54R would do to one of those?? I'll even ship the remmenants back on my nickel.

BBs (and RSA Secure IDs) make wonderful targets!

I have a few more setting in an ammo can that I have not gotten around to shooting yet. (some with bullets, other pre-ventilated ones not shot with the camera yet)

I'll be sure to post those here when I get the camera setup again. :-)
