another bad call went like this:

stupid lady: my computer keeps freezing
me : is your computer froze now?
stupid lady: no, not yet
me : ok can you see your desktop?
stupid lady: yes
me : what version of windows do you have?
stupid lady: 99 i think
me : ok, click on start, settings, then control panel
stupid lady: with the right or left button?
me : left
stupid lady: click on control panel with the right or left button?
me : left, anytime i tell you to click on something it will be with your left mouse button unless i say to use the right one
stupid lady: ok, the control panel's up
me: ok double click on the system icon
stupid lady: with the right or left moust button?
me : *sigh* left
stupid lady: with my right or left hand?
me : lef... wait... what? use whatever hand you've been using

ya, she shouldn't have a computer

At least she knew there was a difference....

I had a call where I had to make the lady turn her back to her monitor and hold the mouse in her lap and look at it. Then I had to educate her on what Right is and what Left is....
