I need some html help.

My host, Host Ultra, advertises that there's no banners or pop up advertising on their pages. Well, there is. After making my page people are complaining about getting pop up casino ads. Does anyone know any html/java/perl code that will allow me to block the pop ups from within the page?

Are you using the paid hosting service or the free one? The free one makes no claim that there are no ads.

Your people are idiots. If you're positive that there's nothing in your code causing pop-ups, then be positive. The pop-up ads are coming from another browser window they have open, or some POS file sharing spyware program like Kazaa.

The "idiot" comment was uncalled for.

Oh just a clarification. "Your people" was in reference to the people who visit the site, not manage it.

While there are of course exceptions to the rule (yourself being one, i'm sure) the rule does, unfortunately, still apply to the majority of society.

But it's a moot point anyway, as we did determine later (well, as I determined later once more information was fed to me), that the problem did in fact NOT lie with the end user.

C'est la vive.

It looks like they've got the IIS header turned on to include that line at the top of the page. I work in web hosting, and I've seen it before.

You could call them and call Shenanigans, or get yourself a new host. I could suggest my company's ultra-cheap hosting, at wazooweb.com, it's fairly cheap, but doesn't come with any phone support. It also doesn't come with any ads.

(Standard Disclaimer: I do work for this company, so I have not much knowledge about other hosting companies)
