So I'm looking at my Survey results, and I notice one lady gave me a pretty low score (3.2 out of a possible 5). I look to see her comments:

"Cust. srvc. rep was really polite but the issue took too long to be fixed."

Then I take a look at the ticket to see just how long this call took.

Ten minutes.

We're not just talking that it sat in the queue for a few hours before someone called her back. I answered the phone, did some research, solved her problem, bid her a nice day, then closed the case. One phone call.

Oh yeah... ten minutes is just waaaaayyyy too long to be endured.

Some people have very unrealistic expectations of how fast technical issues take to get fixed. Either that, or she's just a raging cunt*. One of the two.

*: As opposed to just being a "cunt", which I find to be a term of endearment. Well, at least with my friends. Especially eligrrl who usually says "you say that like it's a bad thing!"

Had something similar happen... rather than let our clients remain on hold for minutes (yes, minutes bc it's never more than 10-15 anyway), we normally answer the phone and take a message and/or set an appt.

Had a client yesterday yell and me bc I was working on another client's issue and not her's. Full on yelling... so loud the acct manager 3 cubes down heard her!

Ugh, I hate that. They will give us all 1s instead of 5s if we don't give them an answer they like. So if we tell them "No, you're not allowed to get into that system," they fill out the survey and give us 1s on "technical knowledge" and things like that, implying that if we really knew what the system was, we'd have given them access.

Naturally, our pay increases (hahaha) are partially dependent upon our results from these surveys which "customers" fill out in a fit of pique, thinking they will "teach us a lesson."

Thing is, we can opt to NOT send out the surveys - for that very exact reason you mention. Of course, having resolved her problem so quickly, i ent it to her thinking I would get a good score. I guess that amkes *me* the idiot...

Usually scores that are wacked for one reason or another are more than likely the person just not realizing what call they are rating.

Every tech job I've ever had the survey's I got almost always mentioned 'she' when I'm certainly not equipped that way.
