words are your friend
Feb. 21st, 2006 07:36 amI just walk out to help with "computer problems". One of my users is staring at her computer screen. it's the first time she's running ssh and it's asking her if she wants to add the host to her known_hosts file. She is propmpted to type "yes" or "no" and there's a colon and a blinking cursor and everything.
Benefit of the doubt, "Type yes."
She types Y and hits enter.
She is then prompted. "Please type either 'yes' or 'no'."
She types Y and hits enter.
"No . . . you really need to type yes like a big girl."
After one more Y and enter she gets it. I don't think I've ever seen that go so long.
