Caller: i've broken my printer, and now i need an new printer. therefor i need an highspeed UPS port. (UPS!!! *G*)
Can i put just any UPS Card into my Computer ?

me: well, the USB Controller might be installed, it just depends on which PCI Slo....(interrupted)

Caller: and someone told me something about that EPAN wireless connection or something like that. so i can connect the printer via Bluetooth. you know ? and then i can put the printer somewhere else because its wireless but i would still need the highspeed ups port so i can put that EPAN Thing to my Computer. you think that is OK ?

me: *confused* aeh.. what you mean now ?

Caller: well, i've broken my printer, and i've now seen one i can connect via UPS and when i install the bluetooth, then i have wireless LAN and when the printer is in another room, then i dont need a cable. but now i need to know, someone told me that it might be possible that if i have an bluetooth EPAN, that someone from outside might come into my computer. and iam doing online banking from it and i dont want anyone to get into my onlinebanking account, so if i install that UPS card with bluetooth, is there a potential risk for loosing my onlinebanking datas ?

me: . o O (*freakout*) so you want to connect your printer via bluetooth to th....

Caller: thats what i just said but therefor i need an Highspeed UPS port so that the EPAN Bluetooth would work on it. or do you think i should just connect the printer with normal highspeed UPS ? you think thats more save ? and if i only use an cable, can i still be able to comunicate with the printer wireless ?

me: . o O (*complete freakout*) alright. yes. if you connect your printer with an bluetooth dongle, you are fully open to the world. everyone could easily hack into your computer and get all your online banking data. just get an normal printer with an LPT-Connector and put your new printer on that. OK ? thats the easiest, fastest and most secure way.

Caller: uh.. aehm...... ok. thanks. *click*

me: . o O (*growls*)

I'll wait for UPS 3.0. When delivering packages to me lately UPS for whatever reason cannot resolve my address and has to reattempt delivery the next day. :P
