Here at Marquette all of the IT Services students (and some of the staff) get "back to school" t-shirts. Our support services intern is handleing the shirts and he put out an e-mail asking us for slogans...

These are the top 5

1) There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't

2) There's no place like 127.0.0.1

3) Don't blame me, it's a manufacturer problem

4) MU IT Services: busting you for copyright infringement since [ITS starting year]

5) Will work for bandwidth

If anyone has any suggestions, i'll pass them to him.

AC

hmm

I don't know whether it's a bad thing that you're using those phrases, or a good thing. You might want to check out www.thinkgeek.com or www.jinxhackwear.com, they already make shirts with most of those phrases (so they may be copyrighted). If they aren't, or you aren't worried, they'd be a good source of "inspiration".

Had that on my licence plate frame. It is so funny reading peoples lips as they read it, shrug and shake their heads.

Still true though, I moved to the country side and would kill for dsl

AOL?? Bite your tounge, a pox on aol. Please I am not a user for gawds sake!!!

Depends on where you are at... how many people on your block you live have cable. DSL is technically faster but by a hair. Hardly noticable from what I am told. Course I was 300 ft and 600 feet from the box when I had it and had super fast ass speeds. Shouldn't pay more than $50 for dsl or cable, if you do you are getting ripped

And that ends our q&a portion at this time

My favorite is still "No, I will not fix your computer."

When I was a sysadmin for a local non-profit, I was inundated with tech support questions for home issues. It was alright until about the 50th time I heard "I opened this email and got a virus. What do I do?"

Another good site for computer shirts is www.computergear.com (http://www.computergear.com/tech-tees---ties.html).

I like number #2. It has the added potential humor of watching people think it's some uber-secret tech support site from whence we get our mystical knowledge of all things digital. And then watching them try to go there.
