Jul. 1st, 2003 01:20 pmAnyone else have this problem with windows XP?
I go to start, then run (to type in calc or notepad or whatever) and then my taskbar dissapears and then when it comes back the programs that I have open are re-arranged on it... I HATE this because I have things arranged in a certain way at work, and then it even hides some of my programs that are running like icq and I have to reboot to get it to fix...
any clue?

Date: 2003-07-01 04:06 pm (UTC)I noticed it happens only when I have some background programs loaded. I would try to close a background running program, run notepad or anything that would make an explorer crash, close another program, etc. to see which program is causing that error.
Try also the archives of Usenet via Google Groups (http://groups.google.com/groups?num=100&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&newwindow=1&safe=off&q=explorer.Exe+caused+error+xp&btnG=Google+Search), I found some posts that may help, like this one (http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&newwindow=1&safe=off&selm=b31601c20c24%2459f9e320%249be62ecf%40tkmsftngxa03).
