Dear People Wot Complain About Receiving Backlogged E-Mailed Comments:

Shut up. Seriously, just shut the hell up.

You complained when you don't receive them and you complain when they start coming in. Reminds me of a gaggle of New Orleans FEMA tit-suckers (not implying that they ALL are, just that they exist).

If you can't handle getting a few old comments that by level of service LJ is supposed to send once the problem is fixed, then you have 2 options: 1) Don't have a LJ, or 2) disable the e-mailing of comments.

LERN2DELETE.

For that matter, we can throw into this group people who sign up for mass mailing groups and then bitch about how much mail they have.

See, I'm able to approach it from a different perspective. It's like LJ Christmas. I am getting comments I have never seen and not one of them is of immediate importance; instead, they're all pleasant reminders of conversations a week or so in the past. Nostalgia FTW.

And the way my memory works these days what with the stress, anything that reminds me of what happened a week ago is welcome.

All this makes me want to teach people how e-mail servers work, but I have enough trouble doing that on the phone 8 hours a day...

I'm not finding it overtly annoying.

Considering that I've been known to get upwards of 100 emails on my work account from the mail server software itself, a few backlogged emails are precisly dick.

and my client at home dumps them into a directory anyhow...
