So, get to work. Place stinks like paint... might be bc they painted ;) Headache ensues.
Lights are still off... go to get water.
Pause... I hear the front door open/close. Wait but hear no more, and ligths do not come on. I'm hearing things.
Go back to prepping for work.
Pause... Hear sounds of human activity from a back office. Hollar "morning!" No response. Wait. Still no response.
*shrug* Back to work...
5 min later, I just 10 feet outta my chair as our CTO stealthfully comes up and says, "We're you saying good morning to me?" and proceeds to laugh and walk away.

Date: 2005-11-25 06:37 pm (UTC)The upshot to today is that for the most part, you can just play games all day or bring in a good book. At least that's what I found while working third shift on Christmas, etc (although new years is fun if some of the systems decide not to roll their dates properly)

Date: 2005-11-25 09:47 pm (UTC)The upside is that with everyone else gone, me and my 3 fellow cubicle slaves had a rollicking good few hours' worth of Unreal Tournament (the original...our POS rigs couldn't handle 2K3 or 2K4).
