I'm not looking forward to Monday.
Nov. 23rd, 2005 08:35 pmI've been enjoying this week leading up to yankee thanksgiving (other countries have different days), the lack of phone calls, the callers that do call tend to be relaxed and distracted because they are thinking of fat turkey thighs and shopping on Black Friday. But it's the quiet before the storm, the lull between assults on our position and Monday the hellish demons that the retail sector posted about in
customers_suck Friday and Saturday night will now be calling us because they can't figure out that their old parallel cable doesn't work with their new printer, the winmodem they bought out of the bargin bin for $5 requires more then windows 98 and a PII 233 to connect to the world wide web and their idea of rebooting their computer involves pressing the power button on the monitor and then turning it back on. And then there's the people who had something mission critical go down thursday and expect our skeleton staff to have them a replacement that same day. It's not going to happen, go eat some turkey. I kinda wish I signed up for work Thursday so I could tell people they might see something Monday...
Have a good holiday.
