Aggravated

I figure, almost 4 years of tech support for dial-up ISPs, I should be able to install IN MY OWN LAPTOP, pretty much any modem they can throw at me. Not true, I order a Xircom 56k/Network card from Ebay. AND I CAN'T MAKE IT WORK!
I think it might actually be defective....

As someone who just mis-read your username as "Mitnick", I suggest another theory: It's late and you're probably tired. :-P Or it IS defective. Damn you eBay!!!

If I was Mitnick, it would be even sadder that I can't seem to do this.
Turns out it's not the card, as I was able test it on another machine. Could be the Windows 95 I'm trying to get it tset up on tho...(it's my old laptop from '97).
Maybe I'll wait till I upgrade to 98 next week. Supposedly the card is plug and play on everything except '95, so I'll just be taking the easy way out.
