Dear network installer
Nov. 9th, 2005 07:57 amI am aware that your technical knowledge and experience involving the installation of comms gear and servers at our remote offices exceeds my own. However, when you call in because some random user's PC at that office is having a software install problem, please do not tell me how to do my job. Especially when -
1) You have misdiagnosed the cause of the error,
2) You want me to record the case in a manner counter to our practice of seven years because it might prove convenient for you at some future time, and
3) You have done precisely sweet F.A. in the area of troubleshooting before calling.
Furthermore, when I prove to you that this user has been getting this error message every single freakin' day since February and has not bothered to report it, please do not try to attribute it to the patch sent out last week, kthx.
