[identity profile] azraelsdaisy.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] techrecovery

So I'm a telecom (among other industries) tech in Colorado and I have been outsourced! W00t! So, I'm sendign feelers out. Anyone have any openings where they work? I have resumes at Microsoft, Level 3, Comcast, and just about every other telecom company except Qwest.

Thanks. And if you're gonna be mean, don't even bother commenting. I was nice enough to put it under a cut, yo.

Oh, and if the mods think this is non-kosher, feel free to remove this. I'm easy-going.

I see no problem with this post. These things happen.

Amen. If we're a community, this sort of thing seems entirely cool.

definately. as long as they aren't asking how to change their screen resolution, or why their IE crashes ;)

I was an outsourcer that got reoutsourced.

I know the feeling.

Keep up the search!

You might want to look at ReturnPath -- they're an e-mail company, but they probably need general techs.

More power to ya. I found out two weeks that I'm getting the axe at the end of January. We're a company that does outsourced helpdesk for other companies, and our particular client decided it would be cheaper to take the support back in-house. (Of course their definition of "back in-house" apparently means then outsourcing it to India.)

And the outsource helpdesk business has gone to s--t (at least around here), so there's nothing else for it but to lay us off.

In my case, that means I'm almost done with the tech support gig. For life. I will never do this line of work again. ~10 years is long enough.

Raleigh, NC. We used to have a LOT of call center jobs around here back in the day. But then IBM and Nortel sent a bunch of jobs overseas, and everyone else followed.

If you want, I can take a look at your resume and provide some pointers.
Otherwise, hotjobs monster and dice are VERY good resources. Just update once a week or so to keep your resume at the top.

My company has been hiring a lot recently. I live in Orlando, but we have a desk in Denver also. I can give you more information if you're interested. We do general internal desktop and network support.

OK, I emailed you from lmco.com so look for that. I found out that our Colo. facility is actually in Westminster, if that makes a difference.

I hear it's pretty posh. Bike trails and windows and all that. They have us packed away in a decommissioned hangar.

I would highly recommend checking out craigslist for jobs... but at the same time I would also be highly wary of jobs on craigslist as well because I have found:

1) The company is extremely cool and embraces the net and technology
2) The company is shady and is taking advantage of a free resource
