Background: My boyfriend and I both work on a helpdesk, just for completely different companies. His position supports interal users who SHOULD know the answer, but call him when they don't. Some of the calls he gets are rather repetitive, and the conversation below ensued over IM a few moments ago:


Him: Aaaaarrrrrrrgggggh, I am tiiiiiired of not being allowed to take necessary steps to reinforce knowledge in these dumbass agents
Me: By "reinforce knowledge" do you mean "bash repeatedly over the head with a cluebat"?
Him: Well, personally I am more of a fan of shock collars
Him: But I'd make do with a cluebat if it came down to it

oh. we had an cluebat here :)
an 50cm, foam plastic (packaging material) from an new server we recieved.
put an label on it, "Bam-Bam" and that thing REALLY hurts *G*
lotsa fun in our department :)
Unfortunately its broken now. someone hit "woody" (an dummy labeled as 'customer') too hard with it.
