Another oldie but a goodie
Sep. 7th, 2005 01:38 pmOnce again, names changed to protect the mortally stupid:
HIM: I need my password reset.
ME: OK, what's your username?
HIM: John Middleton.
ME: (going into "explain it" mode) Sorry, your login ID, your login name? Your username?
HIM: My badge number is X4798.
ME: Sorry, what do you log in as?
HIM: (tone of voice clearly indicating his perceived mental superiority to me) Do you mean my user ID?
ME: (sigh, whatever) Sure.
(He finally gives it. I look up his account.)
ME: OK, it looks like the password has expired. It has to be at least eight characters. Do you have a preference for what it should be?
HIM: No. But what do you mean by preference?

Date: 2005-09-07 07:24 pm (UTC)I ran the light board for it once at my community theater. There's a joke in it where one of the nuns goes out in the audience and asks the audience some religion questions and gives them prizes if they know the answers.
Her question: What does I.N.R.I. stand for?
The audience member will either say they don't know, or they'll say some form of "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews."
The nun will respond that no, it stands for "I Nailed Right In."
hee.
